Madison Community Consultants: Graduate Student Application

About Madison Community Consultants
Thank you for your interest in joining the Madison Community Consultants! This program is new to JMU and has two primary purposes: 1) to serve local businesses and nonprofits and 2) to give JMU students an opportunity to gain valuable hands-on learning experiences in economic and community development. The program is designed with a focus on student development that will help the students build skills that organizations desire in new hires. Teams for various clients are decided by skills and desired areas of growth.

JMU's School of Professional & Continuing Education is proud to introduce the Madison Community Consultants to the campus and community, and we are looking for knowledge-seeking, community-oriented, and self-motivated students to become a part of our second cohort. The Madison Community Consultants will work in teams, typically consisting of two undergraduate students and one graduate student, to directly serve Shenandoah Valley area businesses and nonprofits. Graduate students serve in a mentor and leadership capacity within the teams as they all gain exposure to both the private and non-profit sectors.
